Broadening Markets: Beyond Mega Caps

By Brandon Bischoff, FA

As we move through 2026, we are seeing a shift in market leadership. After a strong run led by mega-cap U.S. technology stocks, performance has begun to broaden, with value sectors and international markets starting to play a larger role in driving returns.

This rotation is a normal part of long-term market cycles. Leadership rarely stays concentrated in one area for long. As valuations adjust and economic conditions evolve, opportunities often emerge in segments that previously lagged — including value stocks and developed and emerging international markets.

For investors, this reinforces the importance of maintaining a balanced, diversified portfolio. Rather than chasing recent winners, staying invested across U.S. large cap, small and mid-cap, value, growth, and international markets helps position portfolios to participate in shifting trends while managing risk.

Our focus remains on building disciplined portfolios designed to navigate changing market environments and support your long-term goals.
